St. Louis River Jay Cooke State Park

I love how the tree is looking down into the water at its lost leaves reflecting on the growth that occurred in the previous summer.

Little does the tree know that it is providing its own nutrients by shedding its own leaves. The cycle of life. A great shot that will soon be masked with a layer of snow and ice.

This stuff is really great, Clint. You manage to capture these little fragments of beauty that surround us all the time but are so rarely caught and appreciated. I keep on finding myself returning to this photo, though…it manages to so clearly summarize autumn in a way that is as subtle as it is succinct. Keep up the great work.
