Waterlogged horse
This horse had its back pointed into the wind next to this wall of shrubs today to seek refuge from the heavy rains that pelted the area for the last two days. This is in a pasture along Shilhon Road in St. Louis County. It was one of those mega gloomy days were the sun never did seem to rise. The moisture was heavy in the air and the bone-chilling wind gave a feeling of lingering despair. The posture of the horse sums up the feeling of the morning for me.
This reminds me of a picture you once took of your parents horses. The shot I am thinking of was just of the horses head in the barn. Do you still have that one?
